What is the process of selling a home?
- Call me for a current appraisal on your home.
- Meet to discuss the appraisal and confirm which of our tailor-made marketing packages will work best for you and your home.
- Book in one of our professional photographers- options include photos, video, floorplans & drone footage.
- List your home on property websites and other media outlets.
- Open homes – we recommend Saturday & Sunday for a least 30 mins.
- Sell your property. If unconditional, deposit paid and SOLD sign goes up. If sold with conditions, then open homes may continue until sold.
- Deposit sits in a Barfoot & Thompson Trust Account for 10 working days- then released less the cost of selling (our commission).
- Pre-settlement inspection done with buyer, usually a few days before settlement date.
- Settlement date – key exchange done once solicitors from both parties have confirmed payment in writing/email.

What are your fees?
Barfoot & Thompson residential commission rates
3.95% on the first $300,000 of the purchase price*
Plus 2.0% on the balance of the purchase price*
+GST = Total commission including GST
Minimum commission rate of $8000 + GST applies
*Where the purchase price is:
A. ‘Inclusive of GST (if any)’ commission is charged on the GST inclusive amount.
B. ‘Exclusive of GST’ commission is charged on the GST exclusive amount
